#1: Closing Early in June...Should we?

This Question was a close one, with 60% of you saying that we should NOT close early and that we should stay open until 9PM during weekdays this summer!
We are going to give this a trial period during the first two (2) weeks of June! We are going to need your support from 7pm to 9pm from June 1st to the 15th to prove to us that this is a good decision for Barista's to take on full time this summer.

We've seen in previous years that our late night hours (7pm-9pm) have had a dramatic decrease in traffic during the summer time and we're very excited that you're going to help us change that by coming in during those hours! If this two week trial doesn't get as much traffic as we need to 'pay the bills' during those 7pm to 9pm hours, we'll need to cut our hours back to 7pm again, pat ourselves on the back and call it was a good try!

#2: Would you like Outside seating?

We're really excited about this topic because the vast majority of our fans (close to 85%) said that they wanted us to create some sort of outdoor seating area. If you're familiar with our main Kearney, Nebraska Barista's location (across from the college) then you know that we are going to have to be very creative with how we make this happen. That being said, we are able to make a small seating section immediately for all of you that want it, and that's what we're going to do!

On our front patio area, we have enough space for 2 sets of tables and chairs to be set up. This will provide a small outdoor seating section initially until we figure something else out that is a larger area, more permanent location. So, starting June 2nd you will be able to have the cool summer breeze blow through your hair as your drinking one of your favorite drinks in iced down variety!

#3: Freshly Made Juice, would you enjoy that?

The response that we received from this question surprised us...the majority of our patrons (about 70% of you) DO want us to use a juicer to start making freshly made juice for you on a daily basis! It's great to see that so many of our customers have a desire to be healthy and will cast their vote to see this topic actually happen.

We're are in the process of shopping for the right juicer that will be energy efficient and provide you with some of the best freshly made juice you can get. We expect to have a juicer purchased and a few great drink recipes ready for you after the first week of June (Monday, June 7th 2010).
